Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary service contact for large group Life & Health clients
  • Manage renewals, remarketing, plan changes, and ongoing service needs
  • Consult with clients to assess benefit strategies and explain coverage options
  • Collect census and underwriting information to propose competitive health plans
  • Obtain and evaluate premium quotes to deliver best-value solutions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, policy changes, and plan records
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendor partners

Qualifications

  • Active California Life & Health Insurance License (Required)
  • High School Diploma (required) 
  • 3+ years of Employee Benefits account management experience with California groups fully funded plans (required)
  • Proficiency in Ease/Employee Navigator (highly preferred) as well as AgencyBloc (AMS+) and PlanSource
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros) (highly preferred)
  • Experience managing multiple Open Enrollment cycles
  • Experience working with carriers such as Anthem Blue Cross, Kaiser, and ancillary partners including MetLife, Guardian, Unum, and VSP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly service-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of self-funded plans is a plus
