Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary service contact for large group Life & Health clients
- Manage renewals, remarketing, plan changes, and ongoing service needs
- Consult with clients to assess benefit strategies and explain coverage options
- Collect census and underwriting information to propose competitive health plans
- Obtain and evaluate premium quotes to deliver best-value solutions
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, policy changes, and plan records
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendor partners
Qualifications
- Active California Life & Health Insurance License (Required)
- High School Diploma (required)
- 3+ years of Employee Benefits account management experience with California groups fully funded plans (required)
- Proficiency in Ease/Employee Navigator (highly preferred) as well as AgencyBloc (AMS+) and PlanSource
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros) (highly preferred)
- Experience managing multiple Open Enrollment cycles
- Experience working with carriers such as Anthem Blue Cross, Kaiser, and ancillary partners including MetLife, Guardian, Unum, and VSP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly service-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of self-funded plans is a plus
